Valencia City Tour
A tour carefully designed to discover the highlights of Valencia. From modern architecture to a medieval downtown. Valencia is a modern city which has witnessed lots of different people throughout history: Iberians, Romans, Moors, Christians…For a long period of time Valencia was part of the “Silk Route”. Surrounded by a fertile area known as l’Horta, the city is renowned by the quality of its fruits and vegetables. Even one of the most appreciated orange varieties in the world is named after the region. The most popular Spanish dish in the whole world was born here: The Valencian Paella. After a big flood in the 1950’s the Turia river was diverted from the city, as a result an enormous park was built in the former riverbed. The futuristic “City of Arts and Sciences” designed by Calatrava welcomes the visitors.
